WHO CARES? BRENDA NELSON CARES.

"It’s very important to me to know where my food comes from."

Meet Brenda Nelson

I believe that organic food is the best protein that you could possibly ever put in your body.

Brenda grew up on a cattle ranch in southern Alberta, the oldest of six kids who all worked on the property and very close to the family’s source of organic meat.  As far back as she can remember she loved being outdoors, riding bareback, and camping in the cow pasture.

She started guiding many years ago, at first just to help her husband Ron with their outfitting business, and found she loved being outside, seeing all the amazing wildlife, fishing, hiking, and climbing into the high country to take in beautiful vistas seen by very few humans.

Together she and Ron raised their two children in the outfitting industry, with her daughter and grandchildren now a part of it themselves.  She has a deep concern about the encroachment of civilization on wildlife habitat, and has done a great deal of volunteer work, helping to start Northwest Wildlife for the Future to raise funds with a mandate to put dollars to work on habitat and enhancement in Northwest BC.  She is active in her local guides association, local rodeo club, and community association, and belongs to the BC Wildlife Federation, GOABC, and the Wild Sheep Foundation.
