The Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia was established in 1966 to represent the guide outfitting industry.
GOABC is a non-profit society that offers the following core functions to our membership: provide liability insurance, access to security bond coverage, marketing support and up to date news through Mountain Hunter Magazine, industry advocacy to government and conservation education about hunting to the general public.
Hunting is coming under increasing pressure internationally. The hunting community is relatively small and must work together. Our opportunity will be lost if we are fragmented by where we are from, the equipment we use, the species we pursue, or why we hunt.
The vision of the Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia is a province with a strong and stable outfitting industry and abundant wildlife populations for all to enjoy, both today and in the future. As passionate advocates for wildlife, GOABC is the recognized voice of the outfitting family in British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories of Canada. With integrity and professionalism, we promote the conservation, stewardship and sustainable use of wildlife. We believe that what we appreciate, appreciates.
If we want hunting to continue, we must tell our story: hunters are the true conservationists. We must be diligent about relaying the benefits of hunting to those who are misinformed or underinformed.
If you care about the wild places and wild things as we do, and wish to ensure that hunting will continue for future generations, please join us in putting Wildlife First™.
